Escondido Canyon Park in Malibu
A mostly flat trail takes you on a criss-crossing journey over a creek through Malibu's Escondido Canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. Lots of tree covering throughout the trail means a cooler, shaded hike that ends at the base of the magnificent Escondido Falls, flowing waterfalls from above over rocks into a pool.
Access Points: 27200 Winding Way, Malibu. Park for free at in the lot on Winding Way East at PCH and head north on Winding Way East to the end of the paved road and begin at the dirt trail.
Distance: 4.2. miles round-trip.
Dogs?: Yes, on leash.
