All of which brings up a second point: who's letting their teenage kids go to midnight screenings at LA Live?!? I get it, downtown's a lot nicer/safer than it used to be, and LA Live in particular is a giant, well-lit plaza. But it's still Downtown LA, people. If you're looking for something illegal in a 4-block radius of the movie theater, I'd bet you could find it. I know these kids have weapons, but so does everyone else, and probably not made of cardboard, either.
