Tinga
You've probably heard of Tinga located on La Brea, but the owners have opened a new restaurant in Santa Monica, in what used to be Renee's Courtyard. Mixologist Joel Black of Black Lab Ventures, has created a seasonal drink menu that pairs quite nicely with the eatery's Mexican cuisine. Try Black's take on There Will Be Blood, made with Illegal Joven Mezcal, lime, house-made ginger beer, and a drip of sweet sangria. Or perhaps the Constant Gardener will be more your style, made with La Purita Mezcal, lemon, sage, cucumber, kale juice, chia, house-made Curacao, and a pinch of salt.
