::SATURDAY—May 19::

Dum Dum Girls at The Getty Center
What better way to spend a delightful Saturday evening sunset than from atop a mountain with live music at The Getty? This week, California's own Dum Dum Girls headline the Saturdays Off The 405 live music series where their lo-fi pop sound will be the main event. Having worked with Richard Gottehrer, the same producer who helped such female acts create their chart-topping sounds as Blondie, The Go-Gos and The Ravonettes and also co-wrote 60s hits "I Want Candy" and "My Boyfriend's Back," the Dum Dum Girls certainly have a powerful girl-rock force on their team. Check them out on Saturday and see why their girl punk pop sound has earned the praise of critics, fans, and yes, even Pitchfork. [Details] [Dum Dum Girls photo via]
