The Hollywood Bowl, as anyone who's even been could tell you, is a breathtaking venue well suited to almost any kind of experience. Arena-style Coldplay concert spectacle? Absolutely. Orchestral versions of popular cartoon movie themes? Sounds good to us. But one area where we've really never tested the Bowl's versatility is with a night of upbeat, electronic-tinged dance rock. Well, until last weekend, anyway, when Hot Chip and Passion Pit stormed the Bowl to prove that the best grooves don't come from a laptop-toting DJ.
