Metta World Peace. From "
I'd like to thank my psychiatrist," to
conquering stand-up comedy to, well,
his name, he gives us so much and asks for almost nothing in return. But it's the understatement of the century to say that his contributions in the public domain have for several years dwarfed his contributions on the court, with last season setting a new career low for both points and rebounds per game. When he was at his best, Metta was a lockdown defender with offensive range that had to be respected. Now he's more like another aging liability that puts even more pressure on the Lakers' depleted roster of forwards.
