This year you’ve partnered with Jose Cuervo. Tell us more about how you and Jose Cuervo came up with the design for the exclusive suit? What was the inspiration?
6 Shore Road is a lifestyle brand that has always embraced the “beach to bar” motto. So, when Jose Cuervo wanted to do a collaborative swimsuit & print, it was a natural point of inspiration. The agave plant is aesthetically very similar to a flower. Known for our floral prints, I was able to use the petals of the plant along with the Hibiscus & Orchid flowers with the bright, warm colors of the tequila to create this abstract floral print. The print is strategically placed in the swimsuit so you can see the marriage of all the colors blue highlights. I wanted the 6 Shore Road girl to visualize herself at the beach, suit on body and margarita in hand.
