"Face of an Angel"
Despite new information pertaining to the Amanda Knox trial that is being reviewed by the Courts, Michael Winterbottom has chosen not to alter "Face of an Angel." Officially, it's about an American journalist, played by Kate Beckinsale, who covers the case in Italy. Aided to some extent by Cara Delevinge, who plays a friend of Amanda, the film is based off of a book written by Barbie Latza Nadeau. As the events are unfolding for real, the film is less of a hindsight review of history than an opportunity to make sense of events which haven't yet been woven into memory. Digesting the Amanda Knox trial will perhaps be aided, or rather distracted, by a Hollywood film. We'll decide once we see it.
