"Big Eyes"
The artwork of Margaret Keane
is the subject of Tim Burton's latest feature, which (like him) is neither clear cut nor without eerie nuance. "Big Eyes"
is named for the figures portrayed by Keane. The questions is which Keane was responsible for imagining them, Margaret or her husband Walter? This became the subject of a bitter court battle in the 1960s. Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz play Margaret and Walter, respectively and Burton teams up with new faces
, including Jason Schwartzman and Krysten Ritter.
