Body Count 'Cop Killer' (1991)
With lyrics like “I’d like to take a cop right out here in this parking lot and shoot him in his f*** face. You know why? Because I’m a cop killer,” Body Count immediately subjected themselves to media scrutiny during Lallapalooza's inaugural festival in Phoenix. Crude as it may have been, this began a cult following that continues to this day with Ice-T and his bands' controversial lyrics being consistently regarded as one of the highlights in Lollapalooza's first ever festival chapter.
