This is Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, who beat out Skrillex, J. Cole, the Band Perry, AND the sacrilegious Nicki Minaj for Best New Artist.
Vernon's awkward acceptance speech came as no surprise to his fans, remember guys, this comes from the same guy who lived in isolation in a desolate cabin in Northern Wisconsin.
However "
barbz" and J. Cole supporters alike went legit CRAY.
But on a serious note, although this award is often seen as the kiss of death for an artist's career, Bon Iver's self-titled album was completely deserving of the win. So don't be sorry, Bonnie Bear.
