The 24-year old California born and bred DJ started out as the lead singer of a hard-core punk group, From First to Last, before pursuing a solo career in 2007 which eventually led him to the world of dubstep. It took him awhile to find his footing, but when he did, he was awarded with 3 Grammy awards in 2012, including the coveted “Best Dance/ Electronica Album”. His talent and commercial value became clear when he added a hyper-active touch in his remix of Benny Benassi’s “Cinema”, which became a Grammy-awarded song that topped both the US Billboard and UK Dance charts.
