John Digweed
The British progressive house DJ began spinning when he was just 15-years old, and was subsequently discovered by the highly-respected DJ Sasha who took him under his wing. Digweed successfully crossed over to the US music scene, and with his mentor, Sasha, had a monthly residency in New York’s Twilo from 1996 til it closed in 2001. Their music kept the party raging for 8-12 hours each time they spun, popularizing house music through the experience of a good party rather than through collaborations with popstars. This is perhaps why to this day, John Digweed is a name synonymous with a good party, as opposed to music videos.
