Ad Reinhardt at David Zwirner
In honor of what would have been Ad Reinhardt's 100th birthday, David Zwirner Gallery is hosting its first exhibition of the late artist's work. The show is comprised entirely of pieces on loan and will feature Reinhardt's famous "ultimate" black paintings, a.k.a. what he described as abstract representations of pure art. Also on display will be his satirical cartoons and photographic slides, of which he produced over 12,000.
