1. StyleRookie, Tavi Gevinson is slated to launch her online magazine on Monday! The new web magazine, aptly titled Rookie, will target kids her age with posts online 3x/day following the school day. "Beginnings will be the theme of the site's debut month, with a focus on back-to-school topics and other "firsts". Some rumored contributors for the site include Zooey Deschanel, Miranda July, Winnie Holzman, Joss Whedon, Jack Black, Dan Savage and Fred Armisen. Judging from Gevinson's prior relationship with xoJane founder Jane Pratt and the appearance of Gevinson placed under her wing, we wonder about the angle of Rookie.
