Go Alone

No plus one? No problem. Yes, it's always fun to bring a friend on your arm when you arrive but going solo to a party is much easier for multiple reasons. First, if you are going for work related purposes, being alone allows you to jump around to capture the perfect 'gram without checking to make sure if your companion is behind you. It also prevents you from feeling guilty about being on your phone and updating all the appropriate social media channels every 20 minutes. You can slink around and eavesdrop without being noticed and skip out for the next event without asking if anyone is ready to go. Plus, if you've been in the game long enough, it's likely you'll run into someone you can chat up for a few minutes, or at least drag into the GIF photo booth with you.
