Follow The Crowd, But Not Too Far
Celebrities LOVE going out during NYFW. They want to be seen in a space that has at least been vetted and filled with stylish people who are too cool to fangirl over them. That doesn't mean that people don't whip out their phones as soon as a big rapper or reality star rolls in. I've learned that the best way to go about a celebrity sighting is to keep an eye on whichever seating area is roped off and to keep my ears open for the first shrill scream of a #basic. Once everyone starts crowding, just stick your phone above the heads of freaker-outers, get your picture, and then fall back. These shoes are too expensive to get trampled.
