Why: While many artists took NYFW as an opportunity to debut new music to a trendsetting crowd, Devonte Hynes, aka Blood Orange, was simply enjoying his victory lap. Few albums reached the success of "Cupid Deluxe" in 2013, which blended his pop sensibilities with New Wave influenced rhythms. His show at the Tribeca Grand Hotel was less of a fashion week performance and more of a sincere desire to play for fans, as Hynes expressed during the show.
