Have you always worked on bringing art and music together?
It’s really not something new. I've worked with musicians pretty much my whole life. I've been involved with music my whole life; I play the drums, percussion. To put the phrase to use, to march to the beat of your own drum, it’s something true in this regard. My studio at Kutztown was just always a gathering of artists and musicians. Because I was in a couple of bands, everyone would come to my place. I’d hold practices and be working on my art at the same time. People would be recording and friends would be working on their projects. We’d all be working together in a strange way. And that energy, when it’s put all together, is unstoppable.
