Tell me a little bit about this project you’re currently working on. What does it entail?
That process was by inviting musicians to come and collaborate with me, whereas in the past, I would be drawing them at shows, or drawing them live. It was done strictly for performance only, so I’d start when they started and end when they ended. These were blind contour drawings of the band. It was done during the performance, but wasn't performance-based. It was just a relationship with the artist, so the audience never knew I was there. I didn't want to be like “oh look, a live painter.” That idea is dead to me.
