Where do you find all of the unique décor?
I love buying things when I travel. Anywhere I go I bring home trinkets…my felted giraffe is from Tulum, my porcelain clown from a flea market in the south of France, my shells and bits of coral from Barbados and St Barths. I also like artwork that has some personal meaning. One of the framed pieces on my mantle was a sketch that my best friend did in art class, the old map is of the neighborhood I lived in for one summer in Paris, and the Greta Garbo photo was taken on the same ship that my mother emigrated on from Finland as a child. But I’m a bargain hunter too, and love shopping the Brooklyn Flea, Craigslist and Apartment Therapy’s Classifieds for unique finds.
