The Bushwick Collective

The Bushwick Collective is located along Troutman Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue in Brooklyn, and it's comprised of many, many walls that were bought out in order to embrace creative art, all while giving giving back to the community. Founded in May 2012 by the current curator Joe Ficalora, the Collective hopes to inspire art and innovation while giving artists a fresh (and legal) canvas for their work, as the five boroughs have vigilantly tried to stamp out illegal graffiti in recent years. The Collective has been quite successful so far and has received positive coverage from the media, as most of the art is quite expansive and intricate.
