How does this show compare with your previous exhibitions in San Francisco?
In this show, I get to display my dessert series for the first time, which represents a new way of painting that I have been developing since my move to New York. My previous work depicts more loaded engineered scenes. This series has allowed me to explore a less weighted way of painting. The paintings are more about the material of painting instead of my preoccupation with geometry. The dessert paintings further my reach in that they are appealing to a universal crowd.
