Do you think people need to be more engaged with design?
I think Pintrest & Instagram really helped people engage in design. And I think the value of design is being heightened because of visual social media. Because of visual social media, people are really looking at video and pictures in a different way; they realize the value of a photograph. And that’s great because there was a point when every single photographer was freaking out that the photo industry is dead and you can’t make any money anymore, and I think you’re going to see a switch. You might not make $30k a shoot, it might not be what it was, but there’s still plenty of work. And as the web becomes more visual, there’s going to be a ton of content.
