Raisin Bread

Sharp Cheddar, Apples, Bacon, Raisin Bread Grill Cheese
Pair With: Cabernet Sauvignon Feeds: Two Ingredients: 6 Slices of Applewood smoked bacon 6 oz. sharp cheddar grated into large shreds 1 Granny Smith apple peeled and cut into ¼ inch slices ¼ teaspoon cayenne peper 4 slices raisin bread 2 tablespoons unsalted butter Recipe: -Preheat oven to 400 degrees -Cook bacon on sheet pan for 12-17 minutes or until crisp -Remove bacon, and butter one side of each piece of bread -Assemble sandwiches by placing cheddar on unbuttered side of two pieces of bread, two slices of apple, a pinch of cayenne, 3 slices of bacon, more cheese, top with other slice of bread (butter side facing out) -Cook sandwiches in large sauté pan until golden brown on both sides [Photo via]
