Are veterans taking part in the performances as well?

Yes. Before the program, Google is streaming a conversation from the green room with a number of veterans who are writers, and Anthony Edward,  who played Goose in "Top Gun," will be moderating it. Then, we'll have one of the writers read their poem alongside Jake. I, as a veteran, will be talking. Adam, who is a veteran, will be performing. We also have a lot of veterans who will be there, so one of the things we're going to do is give people the opportunity to have a conversation with them. So we're going to have all the veterans and military families wear poppy flowers. After the performance, we're going to arm the audience with three to five questions and tell them they should go find somebody wearing a poppy flower, introduce yourself, ask them what they think.
