This amp here was given to me by my friend Luc Levy, my partner in Cafe Gitane at the Jane Hotel. It’s a vintage Macintosh. I mean, Luc is just the most amazing person. This amp was in the original Gitane, so it’s a present Luc gave me a few weeks ago. Luc and I have this relationship where we give each other really amazing gifts. So when I moved to New York, he gave me an amazing vintage globe and this is the latest gift he gave me.Have you used it yet? Does it work?Yeah! It’s amazing [plugs in]. It has this really heavy dial. It’s from the 60s. It’s really, really insane. So I’m looking for old vintage speakers to go with it...This is your car? [Pointing to photograph]Yeah. It’s an old 1975 Ferrari.Oh man!I know. It’s crazy. It’s less fancy than it sounds. I just bought it from a friend of mine, one of the designers at Apple. They all have really really crazy cars. This was his baby Ferrari. I don’t know anything about cars, but I just fell in love with it, the vintage and the color. It doesn’t look like a Ferrari because it was designed by Bertone. So it’s really square and it looks like this crazy Italian UFO.It’s a cool photo.Yeah, my soon-to-be sister-in-law [Lara] took it. She’s an amazing photographer...She also did this Monica Vitti portrait. I’m obsessed with Monica Vitti. Lara is an an amazing illustrator, and jewelry designer. She’s multi-talented.
