When and why you got involved?
I got involved with Worldfund in 2011. I am originally from Mexico, and after living in the US for 6 years wanted to find a way to reconnect with my roots. When I first heard of Worldfund I was excited to join the team. I believe in its core mission since I strongly agree education is very important for a society to advance
Proudest moment at the event?
Definitely the day after the Summer Fiesta, when we had a final count for the funds we had raised. It was a very exciting moment. And also looking at the photographs from the event where everyone looks to be having a great time.
Biggest planning obstacle?
Last year, there was a major storm on the day of the event. It was raining a lot just hours before the event started and we were worried some of our guests would not make it. But by the time the event started the weather improved. It ended up being a great event.
