Rachel: Over 50 million people in Latin America cannot read or write and over 50% of 15-year-olds in Mexico are functionally illiterate. These are statistics we can effect with better teacher training sponsored by Worldfund!
Camilla: As a New York-based organization, it can be hard to really demonstrate first-hand the changes that we are making overseas. However, since our founding in 2002, Worldfund has evolved from solely funding bricks and mortar schools to creating, managing and scaling teacher/principal training programs in Mexican and Brazilian public schools. I want the world to know that Worldfund isn't just an organization that sends money to foreign schools... we send talent, skills and real value to those who, we believe, need it the most - the children.
