Love On Location: Movie-Inspired Dates In Midtown Manhattan

This romantic date plan requires more walking than its counterparts, but we think it will make for an out-of-this-world afternoon, whether you're a comic book junkie or not.  First, find your Superman or Lois Lane in front of the Daily News Building, whose facade appears on-screen in the 1978 Superman film and its sequels as the Daily Planet headquarters. After a look up at the iconic skyscraper, grab a snack to-go and head over to Midtown Comics on West 40th St. and 7 Ave.  Although not featured in any movies, this spot is a must for any comic-themed date, and if we're already working outside of the realm of reality, we may as well break the rules a bit. Finally, head over to Rockefeller Center for some original Spider-Man action.  The Spider-Man delivers Mary Jane Watson to safety atop the Center's rooftop gardens in the 2002 film.  Although access to the rooftop gardens is limited, you can still find romance at the Top of the Rock.
