PDT
PDT is probably the most well known speakeasy in New York City. Down in the East Village inside of Criff Dogs, you will have to go inside of the phone booth in the hotdog joint in order to get to PDT. Just pick up the phone and dial the number 1 and someone will open the other wall of the booth. It is best to make reservations (call 212.614.0386) as space is limited. PDT just won the best bar program at this year’s James Beard Awards so we’d suggest making those reservations fast. If you think you can whip up the same cocktails by these world renowned mixologists, feel free to pick up a cocktail recipe book while you’re there. But we’ll just save you the trouble by saying, you probably can’t.
