The L.E.S. Dinosaur
The AS/COA Young Professionals of the Americas Carnival-themed party at Mister H featured Brazilian performers decked out in the classic garb of the holiday and a lot of New Yorkers eager to get in on the action with the various masks strewn about the place. Something about wearing a mask instantly transforms any "Young Professional of The Americas" into a party animal.
Speaking of animals, this Tommy-Sunshine-looking dude in a dinosaur costume hollered "WAKAWAKAWAKA!!!" at us as we crossed Essex street later that night. Was it mere coincidence that Carnival and Mardi Gras are so close or is there something universal about the timing of holidays where it's socially acceptable to dress up and go nuts?
