Bathtub Gin

Bathtub Gin
Hidden behind a fake wall inside of Chelsea's Stone Street Coffee shop lies the prohibition-themed speakeasy, Bathtub Gin. Because it was easy to produce, gin was often the drink of choice in the 1920's, and the term "bathtub gin" came to refer to any homemade spirit. The drinks at Bathtub Gin don't have the same DIY qualities of the original stuff, but waitresses dressed as flappers and a big bathtub in the center of the room evoke the NYC of yesteryear.
