Achilles International

Achilles InternationalIf running is already your MO, think about joining up next time you lace up. Achilles International links up an exercise partner to walk, jog or run with someone who wants to exercise but may have a disability that prevents them from doing so independently. The goal of Achilles International is to enable these people to participate in athletics, promoting achievement and lowering barriers to living a more active and inspired life. As a volunteer, you’re expected to meet and train with the chapter on a regular schedule once or twice each week. If your body isn’t marathon ready, don’t fret; training is meant to focus on setting goals and measuring success…something everyone can appreciate. Find opportunities specific to New York HERE.
