Bernie Madoff is known for running one of the biggest Ponzi schemes of all time. He fleeced his investors out of billions - that's right, BILLIONS - of dollars. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Ruth, for decades and she stood by him through thick and thin. But how romantic is that, really? First of all, he clearly put her through a lot by going to jail for a few years, tarnishing their family reputation, and driving one of their children to suicide. Second of all, do you really want to spend the rest of your life with someone who was in love with your lame-ass 18-year-old self? No thank you. That's not endearing in the slightest, no matter what Boy Meets World tries to tell me. But at least Madoff and Ruth are still married. Sounds like Ruth is the OG trap queen.
