Stumptown is hands down one of the city's best coffee shops, where the coffee is as heartening as it is delicious. Next to the traditional W. 8th espresso bar is Stumptown's innovative Brew Bar, where friendly baristas experiment with coffee bean varieties from all over the world using different brewing methods. Tastings are held daily at 2 pm, so this would make a great day date if you're not looking to hang out in the evening. And once you're done taste testing, you can move back to the espresso bar to continue the conversation in its downtown-cool environment (we've spotted Michael Cera holding what we
swear was a book club here!).
