Yes, this one does sound a bit cheesy, but ice skating is really fun and can be quite romantic, especially if one of you is incompetent on ice; this means lots of physical support from your date becomes necessary. Central Park is less crowded than the rink at Rockefeller Center and if you go late (the rink is open until 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays), it won't feel like you're sharing your date with a hoards of strange families. Top off the evening with drinks at the Plaza or, if you're lucky, stop by the Wafels & Dinges food truck that sometimes stops on the corner of 59th and 5th.
