Serve Your City: 6 Fun Ways To Volunteer Outdoors This Summer

The goal of MillionTrees NYC is to plant and care for one million trees across the boroughs over the next decade. The increase in trees throughout our city will bring health benefits to us, the city, and the Earth. So how can you help? Attend a tree planting—gloves and shovels are provided—or adopt a tree! Pick one close to you and attend a workshop for training, tools, and a Parks Permit. That little tree will be yours forever (and is probably easier to clean up after than a pet is).
