Presentations featured three chashama artists-in-residence - Sandra Spannan, Roy Secord, and Alberte Bernier. The evening featured a dazzling array of performances and interactive art experiences including aerialist acrobatic Robin Lynch, Flambeaux with living candelabras, custom hair art by Delirious Hair Designs, House of Yes dancers, and photobooth with Adira Aram & The Experience. Attendees included 300+ of the city’s most forward-thinking land owners, corporate executives, arts professionals, and innovative creators. Guests included executives and representatives of chashama’s roster of partners and supporters across the city’s real estate landscape, including Tishman Speyer, CBRE, Mutual of America, L+M Development Partners, Rockrose Development, and the Durst Organization. The gala marks the start of chashama’s Summer Performance Series, where underutilized spaces in Midtown, Harlem, and Long Island will be programmed with performances and art installations. Selected artists will receive residencies ranging from 1-3 weeks, cash grants between $100-$300, and a dynamic forum in which to present the culmination of their work.
