At Edi & the Wolf, the East Village's beloved Austrian tavern helmed by Michelin-starred chefs Eduard Frauneder and Wolfgang Ban, guests will find a chic dining destination inspired by “Heurigers”– the rustic, wine taverns popular in the chefs' native Austria. The restaurant offers a variety of dining options for groups seeking a private or semi-private experience, ranging from a takeover of their communal table, a buy-out of the entire reclaimed dining room, or their enclosed, greenhouse-inspired patio where where herbs, flowers and vegetation hang from vintage potters and planters. At Edi & the Wolf, Victorian military boots serve as flower vases and a 40-foot rope, salvaged from an old church, creates a “chandelier” above its distressed copper bar.
