Masa y Agave + Rosa Mexicano

Masa y AgaveOver 30 years after Rosa Mexicano debuted in Manhattan, the company opened its first downtown restaurant in Tribeca in October 2015, along with a subterranean cocktail bar, Masa y Agave. The newest outpost from the Mexican restaurant group is a small and welcoming venue, perfect for group gatherings, with a variety of private and semi-private spaces. Upstairs, the 100-seat dining room and bar showcases Rosa Mexicano’s authentic, regionally inspired Mexican cuisine, while below, Masa y Agave bustles with the communal spirit of a vibrant Oaxacan cantina, with tacos and Mexican street food bites (antojitos) made with fresh masa ground in-house and collection of 400 agave spirits. For more intimate gatherings the restaurant's private dining room, El Jardin, glows with the light of 100 amber pendants - inspired by the hand-blown glass of Guadalajara - filtering the natural skylight from the ceiling.
