The Smith Restaurants

The SmithSince opening its flagship in the East Village in 2007, The Smith has grown to become New York's beloved neighborhood brasserie staple, known for its comfort food classics, craft cocktails and lively atmosphere. Now with three locations (East Village, Midtown and Lincoln Square, with a NoMad location slated to open in the winter), the restaurant offers mainstay cult favorites from executive chef Brian Ellis like toasted Ricotta Gnocchi and cast iron skillet-baked Mac + Cheese; among seasonally rotating, market-driven American dishes like Brussels Sprout with ricotta, mozzarella, lemon, and Parmesan; and Flounder with spaghetti squash, melted leeks, polenta griddle cake, and brown butter. The restaurant's beverage manager David Kravitz spearheads an innovative cocktail program using house-made ingredients, craft spirits and seasonal produce with an extensive list of classics and signatures. Each neighborhood outpost of The Smith offers a unique Private Dining Room perfect for occasions both large-scale or intimate, as well as upscale or laid back. The Smith's signature white tiles are featured in each, as are high ceilings, and classic brasserie-style wooden chairs.
