It's finally here - the most anticipated award list in the culinary world, The James Beard Awards. One of the most prestigious honors for food and beverage professionals, the foundation announced its list of semifinalists at a first-time live ceremony in Orlando, Florida last Wednesday. As in past years, New York had an impressive showing of over 30 nominations in six different categories. The entries will be narrowed down to a list of finalists in March before the winners are announced at Lincoln Center in May. In the meantime, we've narrowed down a few of our top picks from the list to check out in NYC.
