While we can't help you get a reservation to this ultra-exclusive Mexican restaurant, but we can tell you that you can eat very inexpensively if you know what to order. Of course you have your $33 Lamb Loins that are so big you and your friends could split it, but the menu also consists of tacos served with home made salsa for $10. We suggest getting the Cochinita Pibil (pulled pork with pickled onions), the Pollo Rostizado (citrus-rubbed rotisserie chicken and salsa verde) and if you're really adventurous, the Lengua (veal tongue a la plancha). To make La Esquina even better, they serve up some of the best tequila cocktails in the city and the speakeasy style entrance is also a great reason to bring friends from out of town.
