If you needed any more confirmation that Manhattan West has become the go-to foodie destination north of 14th street, perhaps the arrival of yet another buzzy eatery will finally convince you.

Joining the ranks of culinary hot spots like Zou Zou's and Ci Siamo is Hidden Leaf, a swanky pan-Asian restaurant and lounge tucked into Manhattan West's highly anticipated new entertainment venue, the Midnight Theatre.

While the hub is set to showcase vaudevillian performances from magic to comedy to music, there's already plenty of excitement going on off-stage at the recently opened spot from restaurateur Josh Cohen (of Brooklyn favorites Chez Ma Tante and Lilia).

Inspired by Art Deco design and the theater's whimsical glamour, the space features an arresting bar and lounge area, plush banquette seating, and a color scheme that plays up its deep blue hues and gilded brass accents.

Executive Chef Chai Trivedi helms the kitchen, whipping up colorful, contemporary dishes from southern China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam, including highlights like Yunnan BBQ St. Louis Ribs, Crunchy Pork Potstickers, and Steamed Black Sea Bass.

The bar program, meanwhile, is led by internationally renowned bartender Iain Griffiths, whose London-based ventures, Dandelyan and White Lyan, were ranked among the best bars in the world. The residency at Hidden Leaf marks Griffiths first permanent foray into the New York drinks scene, where he's curating creative cocktails incorporating the ingredients and flavors of pan-Asian cuisine.
