Lafayette Grand Cafe & Bakery

Lafayette Cafe

You haven't had French breakfast in NYC until you have eaten at Lafayette. Andrew Carmellini's done wonders with this beautiful space. Tucked on a corner and made almost entirely of windows, the views of NoHo passersby craning their necks to see who you are busy negotiating with are priceless. The bread alone is outstanding enough to be a full breakfast, no less the beautiful tarts and parfaits that await on the pastry menu. The eggs Lafayette is decadence defined, while the Benedict on brioche bread will induce salivating. The power in this breakfast comes not just from how well prepared you are, but how well prepared each dish is.
