The deli is a quintessential staple of the New York dining landscape. Places like Russ & Daughters and Katz are unique to the city and revered for their offerings. Joining that line of stand-out delis is no easy task, but that's exactly what Frankel's has set out to do. The Greenpoint hot spot is run by the young brothers Alex and Zach Frankel, but has already edged in a spot among its more established counterparts with their array of smoked fish, bagels, and already-famous pastrami sandwich.
