1000 Student Projects to the Edge of Space

1000 Student Projects to the Edge of Space
Kickstarter is going galactic with this project that includes ping pong balls and a trip beyond planet Earth.  On September 22, JP Aerospace hopes to send 1000 ping pong balls into space, each one filled with a student or educator's "project" (think: seeds, marshmallows, and other objects of choice).  The set of ping pong balls (each known as a PongSat) will travel 100,000 feet in four suborbital weather balloons before making their way back to Earth and to their respective owners.  Depending on your pledge, you'll have the opportunity to send a business-card sized note into space, have your name photographed from the edge of space, or snag a segment of the mission's actual vehicle stabilizer fin.
