Fall Fashion Week is like a back-to-school of sorts, with fashion's usual class of plastics, goths, and Senior cool kids all coming together to kick off a new season. Lincoln Center is like homeroom, the after-parties are like homecoming, and the dashes between shows could very much be compared to the rush between class bells. And like all new school years, NYFW always brings with it a fresh crop of newbies who start frequenting the scene. From the post-Disney starlets to the OITNB-ers, click through for the latest FROW faces we couldn't help but notice everywhere this season. Let's just say they had some very impressive attendance rates.
While we were keeping an eye on the front rows of New York Fashion week, plenty of celebrities have been working the red carpets up north for the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. Since it came to a close this Sunday, we've rounded up the top parties of TIFF, featuring A-list guests from Al Pacino and Jake Gyllenhaal to Jessica Chastain and Tina Fey. Last night in NYC, Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid were seen out together again at The Last Magazine launch dinner at Acme, Chloe Sevigny and Opening Ceremony dined at Bon Appetit's Feast or Fashion, and Bella Thorne and Scout Willis watched underground model boxing with Dorian Grinspan and Out Of Order Magazine. On the final day of New York Fashion Week, we posted up on Washington St. between the two Ralph Lauren runway shows to catch the impeccably dressed crowd as they came and went. Bill Cunningham shared our admiration, snapping images of the bevy of bloggers, stylists and editors rushing down the avenue. Vogue Japan's Anna Dello Russo paused for a pose, and ELLE's Kate Davidson Hudson flaunted flat abs - despite having just given birth just 2 months ago. Many were dressed in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren of course, but just about everyone was as chic as could be. Click through for Day 8's stylish snapshots.
Fashion is a form of art – which is a form of entertainment, which is also a form of fun. This season at New York Fashion week, several brands and designers knew how to keep the crowds of bloggers, celebrities, and fashion experts alive with exciting runway shows and presentations. Whether it was a hologram catwalk, a canine accessory, or a surprise performance, these were the fashion shows that transcended the norm and took NYFW to a whole new level.
Yesterday at The High Line Hotel, Bon Appetit's Feast or Fashion Presented Carlo Mirarchi and Brooks Headley with Chloe Sevigny and Opening Ceremony. Tabletops were set with decorative art pieces while guests mingled and snapped photos with the art and fashion displays.
