Michael Jackson, Super Bowl XXVII, 1993
The King of Pop headlined the 1993 Super Bowl, and unlike Super Bowls before or after XXVII, Jackson was the only performer in this halftime show. In a scene eerily reminiscent of his 2009 funeral, the show's finale included a montage featuring Jackson participating in various charitable efforts playing on the JumboTron as 3,500 local children joined him on the stage to sing his feel-good hits “We are the World” and “Heal the World.” [Photo via]
